Fall is for New Beginnings

Hello all and Happy Fall!! Fall is by far my favorite time of year.  Unfortunately here in Southern California we don’t get to appreciate it quite as much as others but it still gives me the warm and fuzzies even if it’s 90 degrees out.  I remember when I lived in Philadelphia I swear the day after Labor Day the leaves started to change and the weather started to cool down.  Ahhh, it makes me smile just thinking about it.  Pumpkin everything, candles lit, cozied up on the couch with the cool breeze flowing through the window.  Yes please!

First off, I want to apologize for being M.I.A. for so long!  I admit that I’ve been a little overwhelmed lately and haven’t given nearly enough time to my passion as I would like.  Between trying to plan a wedding (I’ve realized I’m not a planner), working a full-time office job, spending time with family/friends, and training I haven’t put as much time into this blog as I would like.  BUT I promise that is going to change starting today!  I want to spend more time doing what I enjoy and less time stressing about what I don’t.  I cannot have a healthy body without also having a healthy mind; the two go hand in hand.   Stress and anxiety lead to weight gain, digestive discomfort, lack of sleep, and a whole slew of other issues.  Ain’t nobody got time for that 😉

So in the spirit of Fall and new beginnings below are a few of my goals for the next 6 weeks starting today.  I wanted to share them with all of you so that you can help keep me accountable!  Tina over at Carrots N’ Cake inspired me 🙂

  1. Post either a new recipe or blog 3 times/week
  2. Workout AT LEAST 5 times a week.
  3. “Do” my hair on 3 weekdays (I know, sounds crazy but I’ve been in a serious bun slump)
  4. Spend more time reading and less time watching TV.

If any of you would like to join in on my challenge feel free! Or share with me what your goals are for Fall.  It’s important to set obtainable goals for yourself so that you have something to strive for and look forward to.

I hope you all have a wonderful evening and you’ll be hearing from me again very soon!
